BMB to open 57 branches in FY15

Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB), India’s first women’s bank, is planning to open 57 more branches across the country to take the total number of branches to 80 by the end of this financial year i.e. 2014-2015.

The state- owned bank, which was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, was launched on November 19, 2013.

In this short span of four months, BMB has opened 23 branches across the country.

“Bharatiya Mahila Bank plans to open another 57 branches across the country and take the total number of branches to 80 by March 31, 2015,” Bharatiya Mahila Bank Chairman and MD Usha Ananthasubramanian said.

The bank would also launch its net banking services “shortly”.
