2 voters, 10 officials in state's smallest booth :: Arunanchal Pradesh

A polling booth in nondescript Malogaon in the remote Anjaw District of Arunanchal Pradesh has unusual claim to fame. Located 10 km from Tiding, the nearest village, it has the distinction of having only two voters-Johelum Tayeng and his wife Sokela Tayeng; the lowest in the state. The Malogaon booth recorded 100 % polling after the husband-wife due cast their votes around 10 am on 9th April, 2014. the polling station, which falls under the Hayuliang assembly constituency and the Arunanchal East Lok Sabha seat, is one of the eight polling stations in the state which has less than 10 voters. It is also among the 106 polling stations; having less than 50 voters. Once a small village of seven households, Malogaon is now a ghost town as lack of surface communication has forced most families to move to urban areas.
