To
ensure a free and fair parliamentary poll, Sadar Sub Divisional Magistrate cum
Assistant Returning Officer formed few committees for the eight Assembly
constituencies coming under the jurisdiction of Sadar on 21st March 2014.
For each Assembly constituency, eight flying squads, eight teams of VDO surveillance and eight teams of static surveillance were formed.
Each flying squad consists of total four members led by one team leader.
Likewise, Each VDO surveillance teams consist of 3 members including a team leader.
In case of static surveillance team, the number of members stands at 6 in each.
The VDO surveillance team would be tasked to record the entire election meetings, rallies, nomination submissions including flags, festoons, posters etc.
The static surveillance team would be free to frisk supporters, candidates or agents of any political party if they are found to be in possession of cash over Rs. 50 thousand before or during the poll.
Moreover, this order is applicable to those found carrying unaccounted campaign material worth over Rs. 10 thousand.
