Tripura has experienced severe heat wave across the
state for past three days and temperature has already broken all previous
record on 23rd April 2014.
According to local meteorological report, the
maximum temperature reached 39.4 degree Celsius in a few urban locations.
Tripura did not have any record of high temperature
beyond 36 degree Celsius in the month of April over past four decade.
On May 29, 1994 the highest temperature was
recorded at 39 degrees.
The heat feeling
became irritating because of humidity at 85 per cent, comparatively about 10
per cent less than the normal this time, the mercury reached about 6 degree
above the normal.
